Applicants are welcome for all projects. Applicants with expertise and publications in structural biology (NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystalography, cryoelectron microscopy) and/or RNA biology, RNA-protein interactions, and telomerase are especially encouraged to apply. Our NMR facility includes 800, 600, and two 500 MHz spectrometers, with cryoprobes on all but one of the 500 MHz spectrometers. We have a well-equipped biochemistry laboratory for protein cloning and purification, DNA and RNA synthesis, and thermodynamics and binding studies. As part of the UCLA-DOE lab we also have access to state-of-the-art crystallographic and bioinformatics facilities. |
